I planted some flowers in little flower pots a few days ago, and have been checking them every morning. (I'm like a kid on Christmas morning when it comes to plants sprouting). When I checked this morning there was nothing and then a few hours later... BAM plants. They're growing!!!

March 28
Brewer likes to sit on top of Dave while we're over at my parents. Not next to him...ON TOP of him. Such a weirdo.
March 25
Term four started today! We've already started putting together our end of year portfolios. I can't believe how fast this school year has gone!

March 24
Grandma Call's Easter decor. She's had this bunny for as long as I can remember. She made it out of a Clorox bottle. A Clorox bottle, my friends. I know...my Grandma is awesome. Also...I want those pink Easter eggs. I don't know how old they are, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were older than me.
March 22
Our once a term class store. Ahhh...the things 3rd grader dreams are made of. Who knew crap from the dollar store was so valuable!? :)
March 21
My 2nd round of scratch and sniff painting. (I also made these last year while student teaching). I was hoping that it would be less chaotic in a third grade classroom rather than a 2nd grade. I was wrong. OH SO WRONG. Trying to manage a painting activity with 27 kids is like committing teacher suicide.
NOTE TO SELF FOR NEXT YEAR: If you do this activity again, use it in a center so you only have to manage 6 students at a time.
March 20
Craft night. You can never have too many crafts. Dave would beg to differ however. I know deep down he loves them just as much as I do. :)
March 19
Photobomb level: Temple. Yeah, I went there. I'm so sad that this picture is so blurry, but I'm using it anyway. Megan went through the temple, and it was a really special night. I still can't believe that she's leaving on a mission! She doesn't seem old enough!! People say that to her all the time and I know it bugs her a little, but it's true Megs! Don't you just love her temple bag?? It's an antique suitcase...and it's bright pink inside and out. We found it at an antique store and it fits her perfectly.

Carlie sent me this awesome little happy birthday book from Japan. She wrote little notes in it and added to the pictures. This is by far my favorite page in the book. She drew a plastic Bowman's bag. I about died laughing when I saw it. When we were little, we always made "kites" out of plastic shopping bags. We'd seriously spend hours outside flying our "kites". (I know...kids are weird, right?) It's truly one of our favorite memories from childhood though.

March 13
We went out to Kobe Teppanyaki last night for my birthday dinner. We thought it would be fun to try since Megan is going to Kobe, Japan and all. It was delicious and a lot of fun. Our chef was a riot.
March 12
My first attempt at the ever so trendy ombre cake. I wish I would have taken a picture of the cake before it had been cut into, but that would have been beside the point; seeing as I wanted to show an ombre cake and all.
March 11
You guys, I'm obsessed. OBSESSED I tell you! I may or may not have started season one less than a month ago, and now I'm nearing the end of season three. And YES, I know how it ends, unfortunately. I don't know if I even want to watch the finale. I'm disappointed to say the least.

March 4
I used my self portrait from earlier to teach a lesson on symmetry to my class. It was a really fun activity and I'll definitely be doing it again next year. When I put my right halves and left halves together, my class about died. And then I showed them Dave's picture. The amount of laughter was priceless. I'm so glad Dave will humor me in my lesson planning.
March 3
We had so many people help us move and I'm FINALLY getting around to thanking them. We walked these cupcakes around to our neighbors today. We're loving our new neighborhood!
March 2
Despite the incident with Scout, I was able to re-finish the stand without any further problems. It's perfect! I've always wanted a little stand for my record player and records and now I finally have one. I am a VERY sentimental person and my records are something I cherish deeply. My grandparents gave me their great band era records and we played them at our wedding reception, so they're pretty special to us.
March 1
I made the HUGE mistake of leaving my stand on the garage floor. Scout helped himself to one of the legs. As you can imagine, I was not pleased.
