I found this sweet little table at the DI for $15.00! It's solid wood too! I'm in the process of refinishing it. I've been looking for a little table to hold my record player and records and this should be perfect!

Oh this is just our collapsed patio covering. We've been here for less than two weeks and we're already having to make a claim on our homeowner's insurance. Oh the joy!

Came home from work to find this in the garage. Our dog REALLY doesn't like his bed! :) I'm just glad it was his bed and not my couch. Hence, why he stays in the garage while we're gone.

Megan's reaction when she read her mission call. She was called to serve in the Kobe, Japan mission. My sister Carlie is currently serving in the Fukuoka, Japan mission, so we were all pretty excited. I still can't believe that both of my sisters will be gone on missions at the same time, in the same country! Amazing! She was pretty happy about the call. She reports to the MTC on June 26th!

This is horrible picture quality, but I just had to use this picture. We have Scout kennel trained, so he sleeps in his kennel at night. Ever since he was just a little pup, I've worried about him being comfortable and warm. (I know, silly right? What you have to understand is the only other dog I've "had" or been around is Brewer, and he sleeps IN the bed with Megan. Having Scout sleep in a hard plastic kennel seems awful in comparison). So, we bought him a bed, put blankets in there...and this is what he has done EVERY time. When we moved we (me) thought he'd be cold where he is sleeping, so I tried to put a blanket in his kennel. He promptly walks in and pulls it back out. He REALLY doesn't like sleeping on blankets. You may remember this picture I posted awhile back. To each his own, I guess. :) Every now and then we like to put blankets in there just to watch him bring them back out. It's pretty hilarious. We're such cruel dog owners.

A cool find! Dave was working on the basement and found these hidden above one of our closets. We weren't able to find a date on them, but I'm sure they're pretty old. I wonder if the previous owners bought them for their kids (who now have grandchildren of their own), hid them, and then forgot about them? We thought they were pretty neat.

My dear friend Krystal came down from Logan today to help us unpack. I have quite a few clothes and this chica helped me get rid of some. (And managed to not make fun of my clothes hoarding either...that's what best friends are for after all). Here she is showing off the hangers that used to be full of clothes. Lunch Date to Kneaders with Mom. We've been moving and unpacking non-stop for a few days so it was nice to get out and do something else.

Happy Valentine's Day! Dave and I have never really been the ones to celebrate Valentine's Day. But, I don't think Dave will be able to out-do himself in the years to come anyway. I mean, he bought me a house. :) You can't do much better than that!

We closed on our house this morning! After we signed our life away (ha!), we went out to breakfast to celebrate. This was a very special day for us...one we've been waiting for for a very long time.

Today was one of the very few days that I have actually left work by 4:00 pm! Woot! I'm normally still at the school until about 6:00-6:30, so today was a good day!

Carlie sent us all chopsticks from Japan for Christmas. Today was the first day since then that we could all get together, so we had dinner tonight to test them out. I can't believe that she has already been gone for six months! She'll be home a year from now. Also, Megan is going to hate this picture, but I just love her face in it. She looks so sneaky .. haha love ya Megs! :)

Our house (basement) is in shambles at the moment. We're in full force packing mode over here. I'm not sure why, but our coffee table never stays clean for more than about two hours. Does anyone else have a problem like this at their house? Or am I just a slob? Probably the latter...

Lame picture, but I just have to say that I have NEVER been happier for January to be over! EVER. I've been dreaming of changing my calendar at school to Valentine crap since January 1st. Goodbye January. You will not be missed.

FAIL. My goal to jog everyday in January was NOT a success. I tried. Heaven help me, I tried. I even ran on the days that were blizzards (as shown through my super artistic skills on the 3rd and 11th). And then, I got sick. Like clogged sinus' can't breath sick. And then I forced myself to jog again ...and then got sick again...like flu sick. Ugh.

This is undoubtedly the lamest picture ever, but you have to have some of those every once in a while, right? I saw this while leaving from parent teacher conferences tonight and thought it was so cool how the snow wrapped around my car antenna.
Oh. You didn't think it was that cool? Clearly I'm easily amused after being at work for twelve hours. Good news though! We finished all our conferences tonight! YAY!
